Monday January 17th

Made some excellent progress on the opening of Daily routines with a buzzing pattern- thanks to Bruce.

Got a good warm up and some practice in.  Still aiming to get more time on the horn.

sunday, January 16th

got a good warm up in before my meeting at the bookstore.
Practiced a bit on the natural horn- trying to decide between Moscheles and Nisle for an upcoming event.  Also practiced some of the excerpts I did for Mr. Leuba and Mr. Cerminaro.  Working on memorizing the b minor mass part.

Saturday January 15th

This was a travel day and flew by literally and figuratively.  Only a minimal amount of warming up....

Friday 1-14-11

Today is my last full day in Seattle and my coaching with Mr. Cerminaro.  He is a former principal horn with the New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic and presently plays principal with the Seattle Symphony.  He is an outstanding musician and has had an illustrious career.  I am priviliged he has agreed to work with me today.

Ruth will be working at her office and her studio today.  She is a massage therapist (http://wallingfordmassagestudio.net/) and a print artist (http://web.mac.com/rihesse/Ruth_Hesse_Monotype_Prints/Home.html)

Seattle

Day one was a travel day to Seattle.  I was able to get a ride to the airport with Bruce and had a great flight- no problems with weather!!

Day 4 Thursday

Today my sister and I had the day together- I had a short warm up and then we took stuff to her NEW STUDIO in Magnolia.  (http://web.mac.com/rihesse/Ruth_Hesse_Monotype_Prints/Home.html)

I heard from Mr. Cerminaro and we are doing a coaching at his house on Friday.  It is close to Ruth's studio, so we will rent a ZIP Car again and she will drive me over and do some work at her studio while I am playing the horn.
Thursday is sushi night with Ruth's friends, David and Brian.  Brian teaches music, and is a horn player himself, at North Seattle Community College. They are both really nice guys. (https://northseattle.edu/programs/music)

I have gotten a little bit done on part of the Duet portion of Daily Routines for the Horn Player, to be published by Moutain Peak Music.
