Day two here in Seattle mostly involved trying to learn how to work the Zoom recorder. One of the important things in working on excerpts is knowing how you sound, by listening when you are not actively involved in playing. It makes everything much clearer. Initially, the Zoom had an auto-metronome going- which I could only hear on playback. As that was 100% completely unhelpful, I had to go back to the manual and determine how to turn it off. I think I've got it now.
My coaching with Chris Leuba is Wednesday at 3 pm and then we will have dinner.
The biggest news about today is that it snowed a bunch in Seattle.
Ruth and I saw Black Swan, which neither of us were especially crazy about.
